Function: Healing collars are placed into the implant after second-stage surgery to guide soft tissue healing and shape the gingival emergence profile around the implant. The standard profile provides a straight cylindrical emergence, the concave profile creates a narrower sub-gingival contour for improved aesthetics, and the anatomic profile mimics the natural tooth emergence for optimal tissue conditioning. Height is selected to match the tissue depth so the collar sits at or just above the gingival margin.
