Standard bone level cover screw for the Dentium implant system, used to seal the internal connection of the implant during the submerged healing phase following surgical placement.

Function:

The cover screw is placed into the implant immediately after surgical placement to protect the internal connection from ingrowth of soft tissue and bone during the osseointegration period. It sits flush with or just below the crestal bone level, allowing the overlying soft tissue to be sutured closed for a fully submerged, two-stage healing protocol.

Indications:

Indicated for two-stage implant placement protocols where the implant is fully submerged beneath the soft tissue during the healing phase. The cover screw is removed at the second-stage surgery and replaced with a healing abutment to initiate soft tissue conditioning prior to prosthetic loading. Ensure the cover screw is fully seated and tightened to the manufacturer’s specified torque to prevent loosening during healing. Inspect the cover screw at second-stage surgery and replace if any signs of corrosion or thread damage are present.
