Function: The LOCKiT system is a ball-and-socket type overdenture attachment that provides reliable retention for implant-supported removable prostheses. The LOCKiT abutment connects to the implant and provides the male ball component. The LOCKiT cap protects the abutment during healing. The LOCKiT housing is embedded in the denture base and holds the retention insert. The LOCKiT insert provides the actual retention force and is available in three retention levels — pink (light) for patients with limited dexterity, blue (medium) for standard retention, and yellow (heavy) for maximum retention. Inserts can be replaced chairside as retention decreases over time.
